1. aray & the volunteers:
   that's short for amy ray and the volunteers. duh. if you don't know who amy ray is, you probably have never read my blog before. the volunteers are her current touring band: will lochamy, lester nuby, and tara jane o'neil.
   
2. cats:
   i have two: frisco and prince of darkness. i love my babies to pieces (yes, even PoD).
3. equal rights:
   i believe in EQUAL rights for all people.
4. ig:
   short for indigo girls. and as with amy ray, i don't think i have to explain.... *gush* i love them so very much. no one or nothing has changed and shaped my life like amy ray and emily saliers.
5. japan:
   i really think i am japanese at times. i majored in the language in college, lived there, taught and translated over there, and have traveled back several times. japan really is my home away from home, and sometimes i feel *more* at home there than i do in the us. and no, i am NOT into manga and anime.
6. nomads*indians*saints:
   my favorite indigo girls album. it came out in 1990. i was 13 years old, and i made my parents call me in sick from school to buy it the morning of release date. my all time favorite song, "world falls," is track #3. the album also has some of my otehr favorites: "hand me downs," "southland in the springtime," "welcome me," and "watershed." love it!
7. san francisco:
   my home town. i have a love/hate relationship with this place. all in all, i love it, but sometimes i hate living here.
8. tara jane o'neil:
   one of the volunteers (see #1). TJO plays bass. she replaced jody bleyle in october.
9. travel agent:
   my beloved job. my official title is "travel adviser."
10. wittenberg university:
    my undergrad alma mater in springfield, ohio. yes, it's in the middle of nowhere, but i had a blast during my three years (one was spent in japan) there. i was a japanese major and a women's studies minor.
